Can you tame snowflake quail by handfeeding them?

I'm planning on getting snowflake quails as a pet. Can you tame snowflake quails by handfeeding them 3 times a day? Specifically meaning, not leaving any feed in their cage, and only letting them have water. Will this work?

I will leave feed in their cage when they start getting used to me. And from there on, I will handfeed them with mealworms as a treat.

They will become fat it’s kinda like to many snacks or candy for us.

Because it will unbalance their diet and they can get sick. Plus they have a lot of fat and you don’t want your birds getting fat and dying. Treats should be no more than 10% of the diet, preferably even less. And for a little tiny quail that may equals maybe like 1-2 mealworms probably.
