Can You Tape a Rooster's Mouth to Temporarily Stop it from Crowing

Ive found that when our rooster sleeps in the dark they dont crow.

I would think they'd be happier at home. Chickens don't like change. I'm not sure they'd be thrilled to "vacation" in the middle of multiple predators' living rooms either.

They love it, and their only two hen and roo. They stay in a dog crate and are watch all the time. They sleep inside.

They enjoy people, and the roo crows 100 times per day when he wants to spend time with us.
