Can you tell if it is a rooster by the feet?

I forgot to ask in my last post if you can tell if it is a rooster by the thickness of the legs. I have three chicks two weeks old. Two of them have skinny legs compared to the other one. The one with the thicker legs is also developing his comb faster than the other two.

Also, if the chicken has feathers down the front of his foot, will he be a hairy footed chicken, or will the feathers disapear as they get older.

  2. Yes, this is one of the ways I sexed my chicks. Males have thicker legs than the females. No clue about the feather/feet thing. [IMG]
