Can you tell me what's the name of these chickens

Chinese Capons, I agree that they are too slim and the legs are too long to be CornishX meaties, but I think they could still be a Cornish cross of some sort. That they will be caponized means that they will grow dramatically, and I assume they are all boys, obviously. I wonder whether they aren't deliberately Sex-Linked for an auto-sexing bird so they can sort them at hatch. That would explain the red leakage, and I assume they are just some form of red sex-link using Cornish and some other large bird.

That is some serious bird density your friends have!!

Ha! I'm just being a goof today. I think they wanted to know the breed, if any. I'm still guessing some sort of RSL.

Some sort of mutt.

You being not from America, I highly doubt they're normal Cornish X broiler birds. In fact in most countries, people raise the original Indian Game / true Cornish for meat. That or village chickens.

But my gosh that is a crowded lot of chickens.

I know this is off-track from the original question, but I have a question for _chinese capons_ about the video in your signature. It is very interesting!

My question is only understandable to someone who has watched the video by the way..

In the video, the guy is sitting close to the ground and restraining the bird with his feet. (Seems like a good way to do this if a person has a healthy back). He operates one side only for about 15 seconds and then lets the bird run off, quite energetically I might add. (He is a VERY skilled caponizer and the birds seem to not have a care in the world!)

Then he does another one, and another one, and so on.

My question is: Did he take BOTH testicles out in the one operation in the video, or will he wait a few days for each bird to recover and THEN caponize the other side of each bird?

Thanks!!
