Can you tell the diff. b/t white rocks and leghorn chicks?

These came in my rainbow asst. and I am really hopin for some rocks. Some have more yellow on their heads than others and some feel a little bigger and heavier. They are 3 weeks old

I don't think you can tell yet but, I think the leghorns have white ear lobes when they are older.

Yeah, the only real difference I know is that adult Rocks will have red earlobes and Leghorns will have white.

When do they get the earlobe color? Will I have to wait long? The anticipation is killing me!

well, I can't tell you for sure but I ordered 3 white rocks

We had both breeds in a single order, and we sorted them by size until they were about 4-5 weeks old. By that time, there was a pretty distinct difference in their weights, since the rocks were so much heavier. When we sold some of them at 5 weeks, we informed all buyers that we had made our best guess of which was which, but that we couldn't guarantee it. Now that they're adults, it's very obvious in their size.

the picture with the chick and the blackc hicks,,,,thats a white rock.It is more round than the leghorns. The white earlobes should show up by 8 weeeks.
