I got 2silkie chicks a bout a month or maybe a little over a month ago. I've read it can take a while to figure out the gender of them but I figured it wouldnt hurt to try. I'll attach some pics, let me know what you think! Also my black ones got some crazy feathering going on its head does anyone know what might have caused that? All answers are appreciated!

It is very early...what 6 weeks?

But, right now, neither are screaming roo...but I am getting white pullet and black roo possible vibes from their body posturing.

Girls will generally have the big poms on their heads, and squattier, more tear drop shaped bodies with lower stance.

Roos will generally have a mohawk, and usually you an see a much more developed comb, with a lankier, taller stance.

I was kind of thinking the black could be a roo too, it was 8 weeks when I got it so probablya little over 12 weeks, I'm not really sure how old the white one it tho.
