Here is pictures of my turken baby. He is 5 weeks old yesterday. Can you tell what it is yet? It has developed completely different than my other 2, but its different entirely so I'm not sure how much that really counts.

Right now, I would say that is a little pullet

However, if that comb starts reddening in the next couple weeks, that would change things dramatically.

I own turken chickens as well and I have roosters that are 4 weeks with a half inch comb. Turkens combs on the rooster seem to develop really quickly. I almost garuntee its a pullet. Though i doubt its a rooster there is always a chance but it should be alot brighter and larger assuming it is a rooster.

Great. Thats what I was afraid of. I knew if I named it John Jr. it would be a girl. I should have named them all boys names.
My biggest problem is that the 2 are roosters, so we'll have to decide who we are going to keep if its still a girl in a few months.

did you mean 5 months??? at 5 weeks old that big of a comb would indicate a rooster, and i have never seen a chicken big at 5 weeks, whatya feeding him???

Seriously!?!? No, its definitely only 5 weeks. My other 2 were twice that size at 5 weeks, this is a small one (for me).

Edit: Oh wait, he's 6 weeks as of yesterday. Sorry.

Turkens grow fast. They are a large breed of fowl. They are the biggest chicks I currently have and they are great birds to deal with the heat. Out of curiosity are you planning on breeding?
