Can you "unshrink" a shrinkwrapped egg?

I just put a 4 call eggs in lock down and 3 of the four were moving when I candled them. I poked through the shell/air cell of the fourth and found it was shrinked wrapped but not to the extreme. I was able to see the head clearly and it looked like the bill had almost made it past the membrane before it died. The egg had small movements yesterday, was there anything I could have done to help? Can an egg be "unshrinkwrapped" successfully? I keep water in the bator and spray the eggs every time I open the lid during the hatch cycle, any other suggestions to prevent this?

What is your hatching humidity? If you're getting shrinkwrapping, your humidity may be too low.

The hatching inubator is 75%. I haven't put the hygrometer in the incubating incubator but I keep the well full of water and spray the eggs every other day during incubation. This egg looks like just in the last day became shrinkwrapped - it wasn't the mumified look but had more moisture to it.

The ony thing you can do is try to prevent it, really.

If you have an egg that has pipped, and is shrink wrapped, I usually wrap

the egg is a warm damp paper towel leaving the pip erea exposed so the

baby can breathe. Sorry you lost the little one.
