Can you use an egg carton in the incubator..............??

if my eggs have been on there side and turned for 9 days can i change and put them in a carton or do i need to just leave them on there side since i started them that way?

I think its perfect for quail eggs because they can move around when they are pipping and rocking with plenty of space, but I personally would not chance it with chicken eggs. I have had too many die after pipping to risk it. But I am sure many use one successfully. And by looking at the pics, I would say people do, but again, it's just my preference.

I hand turn mine so they are always on their side. So I use the toliet papper method. It keeps the eggs from rolling great. Have used it 3 hatchings and none have rolled out and all have hatched with out any problem.

Hatching in cartons also helps with incubator sanitation during the hatch and clean up after the hatch is done.

so you're just propping up the end of the incubator, how high are you doing that?

I'm confused. Why does the pointy side need to be down? if it were under the hen it would be sideways right?
