Can you use nipple waterers for chicks?

i would not put them in your spare bedroom unless you want a lot of dust i made the mistake this year and did that, that room is coated in dust if you have a garage that might be better just keep the lamp a little lower and i used the nipple waterers and i didn't have to teach them i would highly recommend them

Thank you Neil. Maybe I will consider putting them in the basement after a week or so.

The spare room is actually my "exercise room", they would be in there. But I'm sure you are right & it will be messy!!

Yes, you can use nipple waterers for chicks. I fashioned a waterer out of a clean, empty gallon plastic vinegar jug--it's thicker than a gallon milk or water jug. I put two nipples on the bottom of the jug and it took the chicks about 5 minutes to get the hang of the new waterer. So much cleaner--no messy pine shavings or poo in the water. I just hang the waterer from the ceiling in the coop and can adjust it as they grow.
