Can you use saw dust in a duckling broader

Right now I'm using newspaper but am running out rather quickly. I have a lot of saw dust, but I'm not sure what wood it is from.

Hello!

Don't use sawdust because the ducklings will eat it. And I would highly recommend you get rid of the newspaper. It gets to slippery which can lead to leg problems. I recommend getting some hay.
