Can you use this kind of sand for quails to sand bath in?

My aunt was getting play sand for them but the people gave them this kind of sand.
Would it be okay to use?
If not we will just use it for something else of course

Welcome to BYC! Could you could provide a picture of a hand-sized pile of that sand up close to the camera? That would be best. Play sand is much too fine. Fine sand can cause respiratory disease. Coarse sand works best - river sand, construction sand and bank run sand are always a good choice of sand for poultry. Though make sure you're getting the coarse option. Good luck.

See how the sand clumps? It will do the same thing inside your birds' crops. Construction sand is a super cheap and much better option. Plain old garden dirt works too.
