We ended up with only Roos in a run of auracanas, and have three black copper maran roosters. They are free running in the pasture, live in a small group, and eat organic feed or local grain. They each look differently and come from different parents. We have given them names, and they are somewhat tame for marans. (My husband hand feeds them sometimes.)
