Canada geese nesting this late?

Yes, Miss Lydia make sure to feed it now and you could have even feed it while she was on the nest. That is why I give it to them on the nest to rebuild their system. I know she will enjoy the mixture. If at first she looks at it like what is that. Never mind her just keep in in her bowl and your gander should like it too.

Miss Lydia I fed the nut mixture to Sammie while I had his leg wrapped and he went, pardon the pun NUTS over it. Sammie loves nuts.... I do believe it just might of helped him rebuild his legs some...

I also give it as a treat to them and boy they love their treats....

Thanks RURU.

I want to make sure to advise you on feeding the nuts mixture. Do not make it a habit of giving the nuts all the time on the ganders. Try to give as a treat every now and then because too much calcium in a gander can cause kidney disease!!!
So try to give the nuts mainly to the females to help increase their calcium while making the eggs and after laying them to help rebuild the females system from the calcium loss in the bones. The gander can enjoy a couple here and there but not like what you will give to the females. So as with anything do not over due....
