This one lake that I go to ha's a lot of pairs with goslings. And there's this one pair that's always been there without goslings. For some reason the pair with out goslings has been recently following around this other pait with 5 young goslings. I even saw them swimming in the water together. So the pair with no goslings were swimming with the pair with goslings. And the gander of the goslings has something wrong with the side of his face, his missing a lot of hair and it keeps getting worse.. I'm wondering why this pair with no goslings keeps following the pair with goslings everywhere they go. Any ideas?? Thanks!

Maybe their kids from last year. Call a wild life officer and see if they can do anything for this gander. Might look and see if you have any water fowl rescues in your area.
Oh wow I didn't even think of that.. but how would they know that they're their parents? And a pair can be siblings? And I don't think there is any wild life officers it rescue near me. Or at all in new Jersey.

Oh they know who their parents are same as the pair know their kids.

Google water fowl rescue in NJ and every state has wild life officers.

So do you think that they could be their parents? And can a pair be siblings? And I was wondering if it had to do with the ganders face, if that's why they're following them all of a sudden..

Don't mess with them. They know far more about being geese and how their society works than you do. We have hundreds of Canada Goose families around where I live. You will often see two or more pairs of adults with goslings between them. Think of it as added protection for the babies. Let nature take its course.

did the goslings just hatch? probably not... they steal children from each other, and sometimes the parents that are robbed contest it by sticking around. The chicks could be from both sets of parents

The pair without goslings that's following them around did not nest.
