Canada goose pair question

I have been seeing a lot of Canada goose pairs lately every where I go. It just seems like there's more then usual. And also a lot of fighting going on. I live in new Jersey so they are year round here.

So what is your question,,,,
Have plenty here where I live. My understanding is that they are Federally Protected. Not allowed to keep any unless you get some from a Certified Breeder. Then you need to have them altered so their one wing is disabled , or something similar. (that is what I READ ON A DIFFERENT POST)

These live 1/4 mile from my home.

I was just wondering about the pairs. I've been seeing a lot lately at each lake or spot I go to with geese.. there's been a lot of chatty pairs lately

Geese form pair bonds which are for life as long as both live so no wonder you are seeing pairs. As for fighting I have no idea except with birds tempers can fly just like with all living creatures.
