Canadian Geese sleeping in the parking lot aka Geese Potatoes

Thought you guys might appreciate these pictures of the Canadian Geese who decided to take a nap in the parking lot in the middle of the day. It was super cute, IMO. Perfect geese potatoes. Those beady black eyes sure did watch me as I drove right by them, but they never stirred.

They may be migrating south,, and needed a rest stop. I know these geese always prefer open areas.
You being in Alabama,,, they may have reached their desired destination.

There always seem to be Canadian geese around here where I live. We see them flying past a lot, but they also tend to linger. Beautiful creatures! But they do make a lot of poop. They give us some space, but it never ceases to amaze me how close they'll let me get before they trundle off.

Ah yes, this years crop is doing nicely.
