Also you will need a wildlife licence to own and sell them. The licence is around $75 a year I think.

Thank you Nyla. I have been looking for them on softballs but no results. I'm well aware of the permits I need to have. I currently have several permits including one for waterfowls.

@Exoticwings how do you apply for a permit? Federal or state? What qualifications are needed?

You don't need a permit to own them unless you plan to breed and sell the offspring. If you just want to own them, the person who sells them to you needs to provide you paperwork that shows that they have the license to breed them and that they are not wild geese taken from the wild. That's it.

To breed them and then sell or give away the offspring, you need that permit I linked above.
