I know this forum is about yard and farm animals but maybe I can relate my problem.
We e have single femail Canadian wild geese laying 6 eggs by our pond.
3 days later we noticed another couple of geese started to chasing her out from her nest.
Mail goose was doing all the chasing out work , femail was just waiting for the nest to be empty to sit on the eggs.
So my wife and I were chasing these intruders geese all the time so the single femail could comeback to her nest.
Over and over for last 3 days we were helping her out but we dont know if this is something that we should get involved. Maybe allow the new couple to take over her nest since she is alone?
This morning I came over and she was already our from nest, mail goose was around the nest and 1 of the eggs was about 2 ft away from the nest.
I put the egg inside, chase the intruders and left it as is. Now i need help what to do?
