canadian goose

does anyone out there know if you need a permit to have a candian goose as a pet? i live in pa please let me know thanks!!!

Canada geese are migratory waterfowl and protected. Contact your state fish and game about state permits required. You can not take them fom the wild, even if they fly onto your property.

They are also very wary of people since they are hunted in some states.
We have a pair that have nested on our farm for over 10 years and keep returning. We set out feed for them and they will let me come within 4 feet of them to put food out, will "talk" at me but they are wild...and beautiful.
