I am from Canada and i am trying to find a hatchery that is close becuase i only want about 8 chickens and i know that almost every hatchery ships a limit of 25 chicks or only sells a limit of 25 chicks at once, any suggestions of what i should do ?

I can'telp you but I live in Florida and just ordered chicks from a hatchery in Michigan. There are some BYC members from canada.

HI I am from ottawa canada .
If you live in ontario you can buy chickens from the auctions for animals .
I went to one and the prices were low .
There is a magizine out in ontario .
I will get alink up later ..there have advertised breeders and auction dates .

In the fall the prices of birds will come down .

Everyone here is talking about some place past Toronto.
thats one of the biggest groupgathering of birds for sale in ontario .

there should be hundreds of people and a thousand birds for sale .

I need to get some golden phoenix hens ,,, as my hen ran away from home a month ago..

But the bad thing is he does not take orders again until next year.

Anyone know where I can acquire good orpingtons in the ottawa area? I don't won't be able to take any on until spring.

I tried opening that link from Thomas H but it said it was no longer available.
