We recently bought a boer goat. She requires a mineral block with high amounts of copper in it. I have a pen that she and some of my adult birds share quiet a bit.
Just wanted to know if copper is harmful to my birds or the eggs.
Thanks in advance.........

yeah...but goats won't really lick, she will chew. Because of that it will get chipped up. I just need to know if I should worry about the copper. I really don't think the chickens will have much interest in the mineral block, then again I didn't think they would have much interest in grit. I was wrong.

I think copper is essential in a chickens diet, that's why it's included as a mineral in their feed.

Mine get in my goats feed all the time and the goats in the chicken feed

and they are fine.

I don't think chickens would bother with a mineral block though, just any grain.
