I have a few larger jar candles that have burned down to the bottom, but still alot of good wax left in them and i like the scent, that I'd like to melt back down into the same jar with a new wik - can this be done??
if so, can someone help me with instructions??
I was going to set the jar in a hot water bath and slowly remelt that way and add a new wik but wanted someone elses ideas in case I was waayyy wrong with mine!!

Okay I have never done this but my sister in law has...Okay I hope I remember
.she put the left over candle wax in the freezer so it would pop out easier .

Find a glass container for your new candle.
A long stick or pencil
a new wick
Melt old wax in an old cooking pot you dont use for cooking...watch carefully ....She has an old alumiun pot she bent a pouring spout into...
dab the end of the wick into hot wax and place in the centre of new glass container wait till it sets and tie the wick to the pencil so its centred in the middle...
pour wax in slowly and evenly and put it aside to set...

She also does the same thing using ice cubes in a milk carton. She has used a pilier candle for the middle ..when it sets you peel away the milk carton. Its really cool looking with holes etc.
Hope i helped you...
