Just got my first shipment of eggs and candled right away. Of 15, only two I positively identified as having detached air cells. This is one of them. It also has this spiderweb/veining that seems to be on the shell rather than inside, like the shell is thinner in those areas. Forgive my newb-ness, this is my first time with shipped eggs.
Is this egg still viable or no?

Hi. I t looks cracked like you were thinking. That circle crack at the top is very common when they crack. I wouldn't incubate just because it may explode in the incubator. ( This is just a chance.) If you have a rare or expensive egg you may want to risk it. Its totally your call.

I probably shouldn't even be responding, since I have never bought shipped eggs. That having been said, if it were my egg, I'd probably stick it in the incubator and check for development in a week or so. What could it hurt?

Cookfamilyfarm - we must have been responding at the same time. You're totally right about the possibility of it exploding - I'm changing my answer to "No, I don't think I'd incubate it"

Alrighty, thanks guys! It's actually helpful that that one won't make it in the bator since my incubator only holds 12 and I got 15. Not sure how to pack those other 2 in there lol.
