Candled My Seramas

Today is day 10, I candled them and got 22/25 fetile and 1 blood ring. Some of the eggs look like they may have stoped developing but I am leaving them in just in case but most look right on track. So I now have 21 growing babies in the bator. This is the most I have ever had make it to day 10. I love my octagon.

The top of the incubator was off for all of 15(ish) minutes, do think this will affect the hatch?

It took longer than I had wanted cause mid candling I smooshed one and I had to do an emergency egg removal and bator clean out. Some of the yoke got into the water will this harm the eggs?

Dont know much about incubating.But just wanted to wish you luck in you hatch.

No a hen gets up off the eggs to go eat so you should be fine.

yeah,, its pretty common for a hen to get off to eat and such for 10 to 15 minutes, I have watched my serama mommas

the egg yolk will not hurt either.. I had an egg explode in the bator once.. took me 10 minutes to clean it out.. did not hurt the chickies at all

it exploded when I touched it to take it out.. could smell it from FAR away.. HAHA
