I know, I know, most people wait until day #8 to candle, but after reading on the BYC Learning Center that eggs "can" be candled on day #3, I decided to give it a try (I know how to candle after having raised Parakeets and Cockatiels for a number of years) and see if any are fertile. Well....drum roll....

All seven of my "mutt" eggs are fertile, including the one that I think is some kind of Bantam! Yippee!!!

Now the trick is to keep them alive and kicking for another 18 days, and then have a successful hatch...

Congrats.....Just keep your temp and humidity steady and eggs turned and you should be fine.

Just remember...sometimes no matter how accurate you are on your end...nature may not be......

Best to you and your fertile eggs. Have fun!!!!
