Hi all I have 5 little eggs in my bator. They are from my bantam cochins and my BBR's. I am able to see good viening in my BBR's eggs they are a light cream color but I can really only see the air cell in my cochins eggs (and thats with a little difficulty) , those eggs are a darker brown color. Do ya'll have any secrets on candeling them?

I use a 3 watt LED mini mag light. If it's very dark in the room and I wait a few minutes for my eyes to adjust it work OK. It's not great but just OK.

They make candlers that are for dark eggs...the LED flashlight will be the most economical....

I use a Surefire 6PL flashlight, they now carry them at Lowe's for $85. If you have $85 to spend it's worth EVERY dime.
