Candling and turning

Hi. Newbie questions here.

When and how often should I candle? Can you candle too much? Should I stop at some point?

I have automatic egg turners in both incubators. When should I take the eggs out of the turners?

Hi Buster,
You will get a lot of opinions about candling to often. I think less is better. First time should be between days8-12 and after that as you see fit. Stop turning 3 days before hatch time. Here is a link that might help you, it has good info. http://gallus.tamu.edu/Extension%20publications/b6092.pdf

yap, you've got your question answered by nancyp. just candle it one time on day 7-9. but if at the first candling you are not too sure then you should candle it one week later. when should you take them out? never, except when you need to candle it or the eggs have been hatched or the eggs scrambled or broken.
