Candling day 18

This little chick is suppose to hatch on the 20th. So I did my final candling. Is this looking Normal? I candled the wrong side of the egg and it was appearing somewhat like another air sac but I’m not sure and it appears that it maybe internally pipped? Can anyone tell me what’s happening in this egg? I have no other eggs to compare it to since the other 2 I had incubating were not fertile.

Did you see any movement? From the pictures, it looks good to me. The second pic looks like he is dropping down and possibly getting ready to pip.

I did see movement. Ok cool so maybe I was off a day or two. I’m moving him/her to the other incubator and starting lockdown immediately! Because there’s 13 other eggs behind this one so I bought another incubator for lockdown.

I thought 20-21st was hatch day so I went in there to candle then start lockdown.

Lol me either it’s very interesting I’ve never candled that side of the egg it’s only my second round of egg hatching lol

I would assume it is though as the yolk is the other thing in there that can cast a shadow.

I think so. Good news tho I guess I was wrong on my hatch date because about two hours ago the little chick made its external pip! So excited this little one is a barnyard mix so I have no clue what it’s mixed with just know it’s and Americauna mix.
