I know it’s generally not recommended to candle day 21 but I posted on day 18 here with some concerns over the fact that my remaining eggs were not only small but I couldn’t see any movement. The eggs were placed in the incubator on Friday 15th around 4pm end it’s now Saturday 6th 12 midday and nothing... I’m not holding out hope at this stage but will obviously not turn the incubator off for a few days yet. Anyway question... is it worth candling to see if I can see any signs of life at this stage?

I’d candle them if your worried. Though depending on the breed (and I’m just assuming these are chickens eggs) it can take up to 23 days for some breeds to hatch, though I have had a few eggs hatch on day 24-25. I’m hoping for the best :fl

Usually what I would have recommended is to just let them be. If at lockdown you didn't see movement, still let them be. I would have candled maybe around day 25 to confirm death. Just allows for less handling and letting the chick get to how it needs to be. Late hatches happen more frequent than you know. As long as you monitor the right temp and humidity, leave them be until a few days past 21 to confirm if they're dead.
