Yeah that's what my unincubated duck eggs looked like when we were using them just as a comparison for the eggs in the bator. Eggs in the bator were totally black except for where you could see the air cell. Course we were just using a lamp so I bet an actual candeler would allow us to see them better.
I am incubating duck eggs for the first time and at 4 days could see veins forming. At 11 days they are still a ways from completely dark but you can see movement and swooshing around in them.
I did mine 2 days ago so they'd be 20 days. lol I'd hope they'd be black at that point!The title is wrong, this is 4 days in. I guess I'm just really impatient and nervous!
