Candling Eggs and Floating

I’m new to hatching too, and we candled tonight, thought it was appropriate on Easter eve, but we’re only on day 6. There were 11 of our 20 that clearly had the dark black dot and veining, but 9 that had me guessing, mainly because they are very spotted eggs. I’m attaching photos for your thoughts and opinions. We are leaving them in and going to candle in a few more days to see if we can see anything else.

They look infertile to me. But if you want to wait til Day ten it won’t hurt. I’ve taken infertile eggs out in day 10. But I personally would take them out now since they have zero veining

What is that orange in there? Could that turn into something? We have a couple that look like that.

That’s just the yolk. When you finally do pull them, crack them open (outside) and you will notice that the bullseye is missing which means it wasn’t fertilized in the first place.

Are these from your flock or shipped eggs?

How many hens per rooster do they have?

Usually if there are too many hens per one rooster then the rooster won’t be able to mate everyone.

It can also depend on a lot of other factors, but I need to head to bed.

What kind of eggs are these? Like what breed?

On day 10 take a picture of all 9 that you said you weren’t sure about if they were developing or not. Usually by day 10 if there is a major difference in development stage it means they were either not fertile or were early quitters.
