Candling eggs day 10 question

So my chicken eggs have been in the incubator since around 9 pm on the 17th and last night I candled a couple 'cause I just couldn't wait any longer to see if something was happening. 2 were developing nicely but 2 of the white ones that I got from elsewhere were not doing ANYTHING. Can I safely discard eggs that have nothing visible in them on day 10 or should I wait till day 14 before discarding anything? Tysm.

You can discard but:
I always wait. Then if there is a possibility of development I still wait. I usually discard on day 18 for lock down. Some develop slower than others and pending on the position inside the egg you may not be able to see it. I left one in that I didn't think was developing and it hatched (the only one of shipped eggs to hatch.) So when in doubt don't discard.

But of course if you happen to see seepage from the egg in the meantime you should discard or if there is an odor coming from it.

Yeah I agree, do what you think is best but I would say its safe by now

Well nothing is smelling or leaking so I will probably hang onto them longer just in case if it's slow in development. Thanks.

This is my 1st hatch so fingers crossed I'll get some chicks soon☺

I haven't had one explode. But I only started hatching myself last year. I did several incubators of eggs and didn't have an issue. The shipped eggs I had this year I didn't remove until day 14 to be sure. They didn't smell or anything up to that point and none had development. I think they would smell first or seep.
