Hi
when is the best time to candle the eggs we have put under our chicken mummy ? and we put them under her about 9.30 on friday night so does that mean we are now on day two ?

You can count it as day two. :]

That just means they may not pip until a day later.

I would candle at 7-8 days,
white eggs are SO much easier than dark eggs.

Good luck!

Thanks .. not that sure what we are doing .. just hoping that my chiky will do what comes naturally.
We did put three white eggs under her and one brown egg but the brown one seems to have gone .. thought that she maybe pushed it out as it was different or something was wrong .. no sign in the chicky coop that anythin has got in ie rat etc .. not sure if the other one has eaten it ... they both now stopped laying .. and before she went broody we were getting two eggs every other day ... is this normal and will it start again ?
