Candling Eggs

Can anyone out there tell me the name of a good candler that will candle brown eggs. I need to be able to look for blood spots in my eggs before I sell them to a few people. A homemade candler would be o.k. if it will penetrate brown eggs. Any help would be appreciated.

I use a very bright small flashlight in a dark room.. Cheap and effective, although the very dark Marans eggs are nearly impossible, IMO. Mary
