Hi there everyone,

Not sure if this is the right forum for this question, but just out of curiosity: Do any of you candle your eggs for quality? Like to see what grade they are (in the U.S., grade AA, A, or B)? If you do, how do you do it? What kind of light source do you use? Do you have any resources you've found that helped you learn?

Thanks! :)

Here's an egg grading chart I found.

Cool thanks; I have seen similar charts/images but was curious as to whether this is something backyard flock keepers ever do, and if so what light they use etc. I don't know if my cell phone flashlight is strong enough or if there's a special (most likely expensive) light people use haha

I don't think many people do, unless it's for selling graded eggs.
