Candling question — will it harm the chicks?

I’ve just started incubating eggs and I’m thrilled to see they are all doing well and have little eyes.

I’m just using a regular LED (bright) flashlight to do this.

It is VERY bright.

Will this harm my chick’s eyes?

Not at all. In fact the brighter the flashlight the easier it will be to see inside your eggs especially the darker ones

Nope, won't hurt them. Just be sure not to have them out of the incubator for too long. Have fun candling! It's my favorite part of raising chickens

Yup, another candle-holic here. It's just so fascinating seeing the chicks/ducklings growing and developing in their own little bubble. The only real risk is dropping an egg as you get them out to candle them.
