I am still pretty new at this too....

This is my first Turkey egg attempt. I have 7 bourbon red eggs in right now and 3 royal palm. I tried to candle them last night, day 14, and it was pretty hard to see anything through the spotty shell. I felt like I saw some movement in the shell, but it was like they had a delayed response time to the light or something. It was weird. Is this normal for turkey eggs or is this bad news for me?

I feel like the turkey poults I have now are slower to respond to things compared to my chicks that are the same age right now. So I didn't know if that carries over to egg behavior too or not....

These eggs had their first 7 days in a still air, them moved into my brinsea 20 eco that I just got (which I love BTW). During that first week I also had about a 7 hour power outage...I hope that wasn't long enough to cause major damage!!

You may just need a stronger flashlight. I just candled my turkey eggs that are on day 17 now and was able to see so well I was able to pick out individual legs moving. Mine are Bourbon Red, Royal Palm, Blue Slate and Black Spanish.

They will be a little further behind chicken eggs on day 14 because they take 28 days instead of 21.
