Candling

i havnt got any eggs but i was wondering what you use to candle the eggs like do you need a candle (lol) can you use a torch you know that sort of thing

Flashlight or any bright light that is strong.

thanks i just wanted to know does anyone have a good candling chart and is there any recormmended candling devices

I'm new to this, but I took a big coffee can put old towels in it to hold the flashlight up, cut a hole (square) in the can lid. Laid the eggs on the lid in a dark room. Problem for me is my eggs are brown so they are harder to see into.

I use an old slide projector turned on it's backside. GREAT candler. And here is a wonderful site with oodles of pics:
