What type of candling device do you use to candle dark brown eggs such as Marans?

You can buy an expensive candler or you could try an LED maglight.

Same here, my budget is a little tight at the moment after my recent incubator purchase.

I use this

and it does this on low and there is actually a higher setting that would work great for darker eggs

got it on ebay a year ago its a cree 5w 300 lumina now its about $10 on there I would now pay the extra $1 for the adjustable one I bought it for a camping light and found it works great at candleing
