The Greatest Country Ever: Texas
They get a bad rap, so I was wondering if you Cane Corso owners would share pics, and stories of your Cane Corsos and maybe some tips about keeping them around chickens, kids, and other dogs.
I don't currently have one, but after my aussie passes I want to get one. Let me know their pros and cons, and please share pics🙏

I don't like big dogs but my family has one, we think she's a Cane Corso? Her name is Bertha. She has never chased a chicken in her life. The only thing she chases is deer! She loves kids and is really calm around them. She loves to play with our puppy. She is really protective which is good and bad, she also barks REALLY loud. And drools but thats to be expected right? 20220117_103837.jpg 20220326_205636.jpg

What a pretty girl😍

I am no expert on this particular breed, but I have had large potentially aggressive dogs in the past. I can tell you this. Obedience and socialization are a MUST. I can't emphasize this enough. Also, when you first get your puppy get him used to having his feet and ears fiddled with. Get him used to being touched all over. Your vet will thank you. Also, if you have to trim his nails or give him medicine it won't be an issue.

Before choosing English Mastiffs, we did some reading up on the other common mastiff breeds.
I remembered watching this video...
It's definitely not the talk-you-out-of-it video that the name implies but gives you some really good points to consider. The dude gets a little rambly, but his boy is STUNNING (so there's a reason to watch all by itself)

I love Jason Corey's videos! Bruce wayne is a stunner, which is why I would buy from a reputable breeder, I'm not a fan of scrawny Cane Corsos.
My next favorite channel that really supports the breed is fenrir.
