i heard if you trim your chickens beaks, they can no longer eat each other, and they can no longer eat their eggs. is it true?

You need to define the cause of the cannibalism. Are your birds overcrowded? Do they need more protein in their diet? Are there roosters who are fighting or damaging the hens? Far better to address the cause of the problem than to permanently disfigure your chickens.
