As some may know, I recently got a flock of mixed chicks from four different straight runs. I have 12 chickens, and multiple different sources have told me I have TEN hens! My hopes are high and I'm excited to see these guys grown and laying! I was especially ecstatic because my first ever flock was a flock of 7 RIRs, and 6 ended up roosters that I had to put in a pot of rice. There are only 3 chickens that are in the unsure pile, with 2 definite roosters and 7 definite hens! Yay! I just wanted to kind of flaunt my luck haha. I'd like to know you guy's experiences with straight runs!

I started with 12 chickens. My 3 white leghorns were meat birds *big sigh*. But out of the other 9 chickens I have 1 cockerel, 6 pullets, and 2 unknowns (though I suspect one pullet one cockerel
). Not too shabby eh
