There is now a time limit on editing your posts. This thread talks about it:

This system is designed to have articles for purposes such as this. You can create a member page in the learning center for this. In the FAQ link at the bottom of any page there is a tutorial for this, if needed. When you have made your article, we can add a link to it in the first post of your thread if you wish.
