Hello y'all,
Ok, so this is my second time incubating eggs. My aunt gave me some of her chicken eggs to incubate. Today is day 6, and in some eggs, I can see the embryo, but I cant find the air cell. I've moved the candler around to look for it, still cant find it. What does this mean???

I've incubated a couple times and usually don't see an air cell until later. I just candled some eggs and the air cell grows larger closer to hatching time. If you can see the embryo.... I'd say that's a good sign. Check again in 5-6 days and see how it's going.
I also check them around 16-18 and circle the air cell with a pencil. That shows where the first pip will USUALLY be. :fl

At day 6 it should be noticeable but not by much. Check again on day 10 and update us. Odds are if you see a wiggle baby it is good to go.

I've had the same thing happen before. Just wait a few more days and candle again. If you can see the embryo and veining than all should be well.
