Hello! 18 days ago I put in some eggs into my incubator. Just 5, down to 2. Now I am trying to go into lockdown but I can't get my incubator to stay above 55%. I am trying to reach 60-65%. Its a 56 egg incubator but I didn't really need more chickens so I didn't put many eggs in. Does anyone have any ideas for how to get the humidity up. I put a whole other plastic tub of water in there for more surface area but it hasn't changed much. I also tried wet sponges but they didn't do much. What will happen if I don't get the humidity up soon? Will they still hatch okay? Please help! Thank you!

Do you have a separate humidity tester besides the incubator one to verify it's reading right?

I've had success with damp bounty paper towels. They seem to release the water better than just a container or sponge.

I know the eggs will hatch and release more humidity. I think they should be fine

that is really strange, try putting a wet rag or paper towel in there if you are worried instead of a tub of water, they might drown..
