can't get my humidity over 50%

I have sponges, the trays filled, and even wet paper towels in there...and cannot get it to go above 50%!

ANY TIPS??? I want it at least 55%

I don't have the red plugs, so i just covered the holes

I'm not sure I'd worry too much about it actually. A lot of people shoot for 50 - 60% during lockdown so I'd bet you'll be ok. Once the chicks start hatching your humidity will likely spike too so having it around 50% is probably fine.

I agree with Jetgirl! I have never had luck with humidity higher than that!

i have it around 35-40 during the whole time, then usually jump it to 55-60 for lock down...........just nervous bc it took soo long getting it up that high from 35% is all.

they were rocking around earlier today, and now nothing

I'm sure by tomorrow morning i'll have some pips, if not chicks.......staying positive .............

Relax. You are fine. You do not need to have it at 55, 50, 45. Lower than 45, yeah freak out. Otherwise you are fine.
