My chicken coop is at the back of my backyard and they can spot me rightaway when I get near the back windowI received my two 4-9 week old slws about 4 months ago, my first chickens ever (& I'm only 56 years young). My little coop is very close to my house. No one told me I would have to peek out my own windows so the chickens don't see me. They make these head & neck movements so I know that they see me. They seem to be saying "I see you looking at us, bring us a treat." I had no idea chickens could train humans so well.
When I open the door to the screen room they all come running. If I do not go quickly to see them hey will start pacing along the run.
They sure don't. I never expected to get so attached to chickens, that took me by surprise too. They don't miss a thing!
They're doing an.... I think they have their own secret society of schooling and know how to train up the humans!

I think they're taking advantage of me being a newbieI actually have a book on how chickens train there humans!
Lol, I'd enjoy seeing both of those scenarios. Is the rooster watching the guest to make sure they're not a threat, or is he just nosy?Lol my chickens spy on me all the time. When I have guests over my rooster stays by the window to keep an eye on them. I also had to start walking my dog at night, otherwise my chickens follow us down the street!
