I'm hatching Serama's, my first chickens after keeping uails for a while.

My humidity monitor was faulty and so I got a new pair to put in and the humidity is stupid high. Even after I dried all the water up. I just can't get it to go lower tghan 60%. We're only on day 3 and of course I'm super concened. I think it might just be because it's humid where I live too. I dry hatched all my quail last year but I'm unsure if I should do that with chickens.

Are you sure the new humidity monitors are accurate?

I live where it can be humid too, so it can be a challenge to control humidity at times. You may have to place the incubator in a different room that is dryer or that has a dehumidifier.

i dont think 60 is a problem ... if you want it lower run ac if its hot or a dehumidifier if its cold ...

Have you salt test calibrated the new hygrometer(s)?
If 60% Rh is accurate, it's too high but also it won't hurt the developing embryos in just 3 days there is still a lot of time to bring the humidity under control and get it to normal incubating levels.
