Can't rehome roosters...processing near Sacramento, CA?

I would think they'd get overrun with roosters, mostly! No roosters getting into fights? I haven't been there yet, but I'm set to have a booth at this year's festival...it'll be fun to see, especially for a chicken lover like me!

You do see a lot of bachelors there, and then those lucky roosters with several ladies in tow.

So, what type of booth are you doing? We've only been to the festival once, since we just moved here last year. My only complaint is i wish they had demonstrations or booths specifically aimed at education. i ended up answering a lot of chicken questions for people who seemed genuinely interested in knowing more about our feathered friends.

I do wrapped jewelry mostly, but this year I did some glass boro chicken pendants, crocheted some chicks-in-egg amigurumi and knit some chicks that you can turn inside out and get an 'egg' cracking! lol.

I was pretty excited to see there was a 'Chicken Festival'. Only one in California that I know of!

Hello and Welcome to BYC! You may not have noticed, but this is an old thread, from 2009, so i think those roosters have been rehomed by now. :) Don't worry, there are many a time i have posted on an old thread, not realizing it was from years ago. Have fun exploring the forum!
